Doug Gifford

Welcome to our agency! I'm Doug Gifford, and I've been proudly serving the Carroll area since the late '90's- but my journey with State Farm began long before that. I am proud to follow my dad's amazing 29- year State Farm legacy.

After earning my degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa, I started my career in 1994 with State Farm claims. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how insurance works when our customers need it most. In 1999, I took the leap to agency, helping individuals, families, and small businesses prepare for whatever life throws their way.

My wife, Tena, works alongside me here. She's been with State Farm since 1997. We have 4 great kids. Sydnee (24) works in Ames as an Interior Designer with an architecture firm, Brooklyn (22) is working in Carroll as a Project Manager at a social media firm, Dawson (20) is a sophomore at the University of Iowa studying exercise science and then Physical Therapy, and Easton (16) is a freshman in high school. We also have 3 Black Labs, Maggie, Layla and River.

Our incredible team shares a passion for helping people protect what matters most. We offer a wide range of insurance and financial services including auto, homeowners, farm, life, business and investments. We bring over 135 years combined experience- we're committed to providing personal, one-on-one service you can rely on. We've been honored with multiple recognitions within State Farm, but what we're most proud of is the relationships we've built with the people we serve. Whether things go right -or go unexpectedly wrong -we're here to walk alongside you and help you prepare life's turns.
